Sustainable building (BREEAM)

Liseberg Grand Curiosa Hotel has been certified by BREEAM at the Excellent level. This means the building meets the second highest level of total points, assessing aspects such as project management, building materials, energy use, water management, and waste management. Sustainable management practices have been implemented from early planning stages to ensure defined sustainability goals are achieved.

Sustainable choices throughout the construction process have reduced environmental impact during construction and created a healthy indoor environment for both guests and staff. To facilitate sustainable travel to and from the hotel, ample bicycle parking, good accessibility, signage, and lighting for cyclists are available.

Optimizing the building's design and technical systems has ensured lower energy consumption. By selecting water-saving fixtures and equipment in the hotel's bathrooms, public areas, and kitchens, we achieve reduced water usage.

Food & drinks

When you come to Liseberg's accommodation facilities, we have implemented several initiatives to ensure your visit is as sustainable as possible. For instance, we ensure you always find vegetarian and other environmentally friendly options on our menus.

A significant portion of our seafood purchases are certified by MSC or ASC. Additionally, all our coffee is Fairtrade certified.

Cleaning & laundry

At Liseberg, we strive to create the most sustainable experience possible for our guests. We continuously work to improve our cleaning and laundry methods to reduce our environmental impact. We use as few cleaning chemicals as possible, often finding that water and efficient cloths are sufficient for the task.

Here's how you as a guest can contribute:

Reuse towels: By hanging up your towels after use, you signal that you are willing to use them again. This reduces the need for washing, saving water and energy.

Opt out of daily cleaning:
If you do not require daily cleaning, you can choose to skip it, reducing the use of cleaning products and saving energy.

Sort waste:
We encourage you to help us recycle by sorting your waste into the designated containers.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for contributing to our commitment to sustainability.
